Flicking through MANGO’s extremely comprehensive e-commerce site today, I fell in love with this dress:
Composition: 97% Cotton, 3% Elastane.

I have this delicious silk dress in peacock blue AND in black, as Isabella Oliver were kind enough to gift me — and I wear & wear & wear them. Perfect under suit jackets with heels, they take me from meetings to smart lunches to evening meetings and then supper… but also look equally splendid with gold or silver flat sandals in the summer for wafting about it. Really cannot recommend highly enough — in fact I would have bought them if IO hadn’t got to me first. AND — they are 30% off in the Isabella Oliver sale right now in the US & in the UK. (The sale has just started and some pieces are up to 60% off.)
There’s free delivery & free returns over £49 too.

I first fell in love with moonstones in Sri Lanka, and these pretty drop earrings in 14ct yellow gold vermeil from New York based jeweller Amelie Bea remind me of the stones I saw there. £125, available exclusively from Astley Clarke they feature a white iridescent cascade of smooth moonstone drops and faceted briolettes.

Panama hats are so ineffably stylish, so together. Perfect with summer dress, great with a bikini. This one is by Anthony Peto from Matches. £135

I went to the presentation of Yasmin Le Bön’s second collection for UK High Street retailer Wallis last week. Having only seen the first on-line, and heard complaints that whilst the collection was attractive, it was likely only to appeal to beautiful 5’9″ toothpick thin supermodels, (which certainly proved that Yasmin had a firm hand in designing the collection) I was interested to see what was available for 5’5″, size UK 14 Sashas…
With an eye to my upcoming trip to the Oscar de la Renta-designed Tortuga Bay hotel in the Domincan Republic, I really loved this tunic in style, print & colourway, along with its longer sister. However, given the low back and very thin, almost see through silk, I would only wear it on holiday over a bikini and is £90/£150 too much for a holiday frock from the High Street?
Pink border silk tunic £90
I’m thinking sundowner cocktails in the Caribbean in this one £150

Maybe representing better value for money is this ooh hello Azzedine Alaia black knit body-con dress for £120 which looks like it has the potential to become a wardrobe mainstay:

Here’s a drop dead sexy LBD from Diane von Furstenberg: a classic that’s been perfectly updated with clever ruching and knot detail to hide tummies (my hated body part) and emphasise all the good bits. How could this not be a perennial wardrobe staple?

Every time I go to New Look I find jewellery I really like, and which gets commented on every time it’s worn, because it looks like it’s from somewhere much more expensive. At the moment I am liking these oversize flower petal earrings (£6):

and these Cascading Drop earrings (£5):

These pretty Jaeger Crystal ballet pumps are a bargain in Jaeger’s on-line sale - £39.20 reduced from £120. They come in patent leather and are available in black, dark pewter or lilac. Limited stock available.

I only wear dresses with sleeves, & am very happy to see that Matches is on it, with plenty of dresses for the upper arm challenged/large bosomed amongst us. So may I present this chic variation on the wrap dress from Vanessa Bruno £448 at Matches?

The best way I know to keep legs gorgeously warm in this revolting weather is to wear merino or wool tights. I am rather liking these Trasparenze Gennifer Merino Wool Tight from MyTights. Lots of lovely colours, made from 70% Wool, 15% Microfibre, 15% Lycra Elastane, and just £12.50.

I’ve always loved Sweaty Betty, partly because the chain shares its name with a Macc Lads song of such filth that I chuckle every time I pass my one of their storefronts. Filth apart I’m loving the idea of this Tour De Paris Jacket.
I’m a city cycling nut, & I don’t really have much cycling clothing, but this would be very useful — £145 Plus there is free shipping over £75. For an extra £3 Sweaty Betty offer beautiful gift wrapping in their pink signature box with ribbon and tissue paper.

I am categorically not a fan of clogs, but I am thinking that these wooden soled shoes from KG by Kurt Geiger may be an acceptable alternative. Haruko £160.00 Kurt Geiger are also offering free returns on on-line orders.

Uniqlo’s denim really does put some higher priced brands to shame. UJ Denim for Women starts from £14.99. I like the coloured skinny jeans.
There ‘s also a 15% discount when you spend £45 or more at UNIQLO if you Enter code UNI15OFF at checkout.

Today’s dress is in a slightly different price bracket from yesterday’s 3.1 Philip Lim number. From English favourite Marks & Spencer, this lined black Limited Collection Boat Neck Zip Ponte Dress is a wallet friendly £35.

I have a real thing for tunic style dresses, with long sleeves. They are extremely flattering — & forgiving — and I have too many already. But this, this I REALLY want. It’s a white lace hand-embroidered dress by 3.1 Phillip Lim at Matches £670
