LibertyLondonGirl: we love her daily musings on dog walking, feasts of food and fashion and all round intelligence.

“…last night Grazia Daily was invited to a rather wonderful dinner at the super-swanky Ivy Club. Hosted by our friends at Topshop, we were in the (sartorially superior and smart-as-hell) company of the high street megastore’s favourite bloggers…so we present Topshop’s Top Bloggers.”

“Très pointue et calée sur la mode, elle assiste à toutes les soirées, les défilés et les événements dignes d’être mentionnée. Le tout est commenté avec une assiduité qui permet d’être à la page à chaque instant. Une bible!”
French Vogue, August 2009
JETSETTER For a very British take on all things stylish say “how do you do” to Sasha Wilkins, AKA Liberty London Girl. This girl flits back and forth between New York and London (and everywhere in between) and regales us with her wonderful life. Be prepared for a visit from the Jolly Green Giant.
FASHIONAIR: Fashion Bites — What We Love This Week
“Unlike other style blogs that can verge on the predictable and the superficial – readers of Liberty London Girl’s blog can follow her musings that clearly demonstrate that style is more than a one-dimensional clichè in heels.”
Swide by Dolce & Gabbana, Summer 2009
“This girl blogs on everything from the fashion world’s prejudice against big busts to last night’s bad date, all with a big dollop of very British humour.

“If you’ve ever wondered what it must be like to live a real-life version of The Devil Wears Prada, this is probably it.”

MERCEDES BENZ PRESS RELEASE 17TH FEBRUARY 2010, LONDON
“Hot on the heels of the revelation of her identity in Grazia magazine, Mercedes-Benz UK announces the appointment of fashion journalist Sasha Wilkins, aka Liberty London Girl, as guest tweeter on the @MercedesLFW Twitter feed during London Fashion Week.
Considered one of the most popular global style bloggers, her blog identity has been one of the fashion world’s best kept secrets until this week. For her first public assignment, Sasha will be reporting live from the front row for Mercedes-Benz, the official car sponsor of London Fashion Week.
Sasha Wilkins comments: “This is the first London Fashion Week I have been able to attend as both Sasha and as Liberty London Girl, and I am very pleased that I am doing so under the aegis of Mercedes-Benz UK. I can’t think of a more glamorous and fashion appropriate way to travel around the shows than in the back of a Mercedes-Benz.”
“Liberty London Girl is one of The Online Fashion 100. It features the 100 most influential entrepreneurs, bloggers, marketers, photographers, ecommerce managers and editors working in the UK’s online fashion industry.”
Leon Bailey Green in The Independent, April 2008
“Rather like having your own (real) version of The Devil Wears Prada as a blog. An anonymous 20-something Brit working as the fashion director of a New York-based glossy gives the lowdown on what her glamorous life is really like. Both self-deprecating and outspoken, it’s a tonic if you suspect Sex and the City is all a big lie.”
One of the 100 Best Blogs in the World, The Sunday Times & The Australian, January 2009
“Sharp, witty & influential.”
The Guide to Blogs You’d be a Fool to Miss. The Irish Independent, November 2009
We were at the Langham Hotel yesterday morning for an elegant brunch hosted by Tom and Ruth Chapman to celebrate the launch of Freda AW10. A bevy of glossy fashionistas, editors and socialites turned up to watch the screening of a film showcasing the new collection, starring Freda spokesmodel Olivia Palermo and directed by Kate Elson (fabulous twin sister of supermodel Karen). Olivia herself, heartmeltingly beautiful and rocking a delicate molten gold Freda silk vest, was the belle of the brunch, working the room, posing for pictures and tirelessly answering question after question from journalist after journalist. With her impeccable manners and sweet, friendly demeanor, it’s so wonder one Matches girl, who worked with her on the film, remarked “she makes everyone feel that they are her New Best Friend”.
Other guests at the brunch included Alexandra Shulman and Sarah Harris of Vogue, Grazia’s Mel Rickey (in this chic Celine blazer from Matches), Vogue.com’s Dolly Jones, Ben Grimes of LP.BG, andSasha Wilkins aka Liberty London Girl.

“Liberty London Girl is like the prettiest girl in school, whose adventures you follow long after graduation. In this case, she’s grown up and moved to Manhattan, where she plays, works, dates, and displays her fabulous fashion sense. LLG is more journal than blog, skewed more to lifestyle than pure fashion. Refreshingly unlike Carrie Bradshaw, derivative of nothing, fun, and charming.”

Our favourite blog right now!”
Grazia, December 2007
The loveliest thing anyone has ever said about LLG:
“Praise from LLG is a high thing. She is a serious presence in the blogosphere. When the papers pause in their embrace of the bad news and find a moment to run lists of the hundred best blogs, she is always high up on the roll call. From the moment I entered this strange new place, she took time to welcome me in, show me around, and fire off little morale boosters. No one writes about that, but I discover, to my delight and surprise, that this is what bloggers do. I suppose ‘Some bloggers really are rather kind’ is not the catchiest of headlines. It’s not front page news. But today, it is my front page.” 01 May 2010 Backwards in High Heels: I wax a little sentimental about the blogosphere
