May be it’s because I went to boarding school, where sheets were scratchy with starch from the industrial laundry all school linen was sent to, I’m slightly obsessed with the softness and smoothness of my bedlinen. I was sent a set by Draper London, the new diffusion line from Josephine Home, and I am very much enjoying sleeping between their sheets. I also really like their simplicity. Above: The Draper London Double Indulgent Bundle in silver trim (includes fitted sheet, duvet cover and two pillowcases) £265.00.
I’m also a BIG fan of a woollen blanket – you’ve probably seen Lettice nestled into my much-loved old White Company grey knitted blanket on Instagram more than a few times, and The White Company Charcoal Grey Chelston Throw above is a very satisfactory replacement – and it’s in the sale at the moment for £82 reduced from £120.00. I’ve paired it here with The White Company Holkham Cushion in Silver Grey (medium £35).
Viners Exclusive Gold Titanium Coated 16 piece Cutlery Set £77.95
I do love cutlery, and am not ashamed to admit that I have more than several sets, which I use not just for food styling and photography, but every day at home too. I was given these fabulous gold Viners pieces just before Christmas and, whilst they were fab for festive celebrations, I also really like them for everyday too.
New household brand Tincture creates all natural cleaning products for, as they put it, the demands of the modern 21st century home. I first discovered Tincture last summer when the beautiful house in which stayed in Cornwall, Penolva, part of St Mawes Retreats, turned out to belong to the brand’s owner. I got a sneak, pre-launch peak of the range to take home with me, and started using them a few months before the launch in London.
I have to say I was impressed: whilst Not Cheap, the products ARE effective, and long lasting. I do like to use an anti-bac spray in the kitchen, given that I have Lettice in residence so was reassured to find out that Tincture’s active botanical ingredients and essential oils are combined with Silver Technology to protect from bacteria and viruses. They also smell divine.
Although my bike got nicked a few years back, I still ride a bicycle in London whenever I get the chance, and always wear my own helmet when doing so. I’m planning on re-investing in a bike for this summer, and this Orla Kiely x Halfords range caught my eye when it arrived in the LLG office. There are four different patterns and colourways, and there is a three for two deal on the accessories, and the basket has been reduced to £20. Get it all quick!
