I always plan to be on top of things like pedicures and highlights, so that when I’m asked to jump on a ‘plane for a last minute trip, or get booked for a shoot at short notice, I don’t have to run around like London like a headless chicken attending to my personal grooming.
Sadly this is rarely the case.
So hurrah a hundred times over for Fenwick’s new early doors service: opening at 8am, you can now attend to last-minute beauty needs at a time when everywhere else is shut. So you could feasibly get the triple whammy of a blow dry, your brows threaded, and your nails painted before making it into work by a cheeky 10am – or heading to the airport.
I was invited to come in for an 8am pedicure at Nails Inc before a breakfast meeting at 0930hrs up the road at the Berners Tavern, and was able to make my meeting in plenty of time. (Although I did turn up in flip flops to avoid any smudging.)
And, best of all, there was no cutting of corners: my pedicure was exemplary, and lasted all the way through my recent trip to Andalucia.
