Although most of my food-related activity is going to be in America this autumn, to support the US launch of my cookbook Friends, Food, Family (it’s on Amazon here.), I am doing a few exciting things over here in London in September.

I also wanted to give you all a heads up that I am still writing my food column for the utterly brilliant The Pool – my column exploring why we all take the presence of pepper on our tables for granted is here, and my latest column on the joy of seasonal cobnuts is here.

UK Events: September & October 2015

Wednesday 23 September:  I will be cooking and hosting a supper club in London W1, on Wednesday 23 September, as part of Red magazine’s Smart Women Week, using my recipes. The food will be seasonal, utterly delicious (of course!), and paired with Champagne Ayala, sherry and red and white wines by my friend John Franklin from Mentzendorff, one of the United Kingdom’s longest-established wine importers.

All the details and the scrumptious menu are here

Sunday 25 October: I’m very pleased to be joining Toast magazine to host one of their series of intimate, supperclub-style Sunday brunches hosted by some of their favourite people in the food industry. Taking place in a beautiful private room at Rosewood London, each menu will showcase Slow Food ingredients from the market in the courtyard outside, while the space will be decorated with stunning Slow Living crafts and flowers. Make sure to come early to browse the market and pick up a few treats to take home. All details here.

I will be speaking at Food Blogger Connect, the world’s leading international food blogging conference, on the 25th and 26th September 2015 at Chiswick House. Other speakers include Claudia Roden, Green Kitchen Stories, Kerstin Rogers and Sophie Grigson.
