One of the things I love about living in my part of Camden is the close proximity to wonderful grocery stores and restaurants, in particular Parkway Greens, possibly London’s best greengrocers, and Market, a wonderful restaurant serving excellent modern British cooking, using interesting seasonal ingredients. They serve a delicious brunch at weekends, have great set lunch deals, windows that fold back for summer eating, and a lovely relaxed atmosphere.

Market is also blessedly hyper dog friendly, and I find myself eating there on a regular basis, sausages tucked under the table and, occasionally, sitting on laps.

I took these photos a few weeks ago. I was charmed by my father and sister and it wasn’t until I put my camera down we realised that Maisie was taking full advantage of our collective lapse in concentration. It’s clearly not just Lettice who is a little pickle in our family…

Chuckling away at Maisie being a classic opportunistic dog and helping herself to some lunch! Are larger dogs welcome or just small ones? Bruce is a very leggy Airedale Terrier and I’m always looking for friendly eating spots he can tag along with us to.

I should think an Airedale would be very welcome! But it’s always worth calling in advance to make sure you have a great table – the front window one is especially good for dogs, for instance. LLGxx
