Since I never, ever go in direct sunlight without a sunhat, it’s become inevitable that my once all natural blonde-ness needs a little helping hand. (There’s no point in pretending that at my age I am completely blonde by mother nature’s gift.) It’s a shame really, but I’d rather substitute three hours in the salon chair for a wrinkled face. So Evie at Jo Hansford has been doing my hair for the past couple of years, every five months or so  – or when I look in the mirror and suddenly realise I have three inches of darker hair at the top.

Apart from properly lovely Evie and the hair stylists who cut my hair – Barney last time gave me a fab blunt cut, one of my favourite things about the salon is that they are absolutely 100% dog friendly – well, I haven’t tried taking in a Great Dane, but Lettice is certainly more than welcome.

And it means I can be the Queen of Multi-tasking. Lunch, blogging, dog sitting, hair blonde-ing all in one clean sweep.

If I were visiting London , I might ask to borrow Lettice for about an hour. We would take a walk in G square and then stop by the Audley, one of my favs, to have a swift pint outside on the bench . Well, me a pint of draught and she a 1/4 pint of water . I promise we would both be back in about an hour quenched and sober 🙂

All the best

I wish the salon I go to for blonding, would let me order lunch…or do they serve lunch? I have to remove myself while I “process” to another chair so my stylist can cut or set the next client…I love HER (my stylist) but I don’t like the factory-ness on the salon. I would be willing to pay a bit more for some pampering…but alas, NO PAMPERING FOR YOU! I would love that treatment. Lucky girl, and your hair looks gorgeous, I would forgo the sun exposure too 😉
