faux fur story

It is really *quite* cold outside. I, on the other hand, am snug as the proverbial bug, thanks to layering up Uniqlo’s marvellous Heat Tech camis or long sleeve undertops (on sale now), and then shoving a fake fur jacket over all. My current favourite is this vintage Dries Van Noten one (above) that I picked up for £250 at Vestiaire Collective*.

There are so many brilliant versions of this season’s furry friend, from the Boden one (in the sale for £89) that I am wearing below and in my current party story for The Great Boden Diaries, to the excellent MICHAEL MICHAEL KORS Leopard-print faux fur coat  (£250) and the shaggy black Altuzarra for Target jacket (£70), both at Netaporter.

You could go cape-tastic with River Island’s Faux Astrakhan Cape (£95), and there’s even a faux fur-trimmed brushed-felt biker jacket from Shrimps (£495), who started the whole fake fur trend this season in the first place.

Now if only I could find something as warm for young Lettice. (It might also stop her wanting to burrow inside my Dries.)

Many thanks to Vestiaire Collective for the gift voucher that enabled me to buy my jacket, and to Boden for the black Evie jacket, which I am wearing as part of work for The Great Boden Diaries.

I love faux fur. I just don’t know if it’s me. I’ve never actually bought one in the fear I look silly in it. You look fabulous however. Katie x
