The latest story which I creative directed for Boden is up now on their shiny new blog site here. And because I loved this story so much, today I am running some of the outs (the leftover shots). In fact, I’ve loved the entire project so far, from conceptualising the stories, to producing, art directing and shooting them. (All shots of me are taken by Remy.) We are all wearing Boden, and there is a carousel at bottom with all the pieces.
After we went to Goodwood to shoot the Estate story, (here), we spent the next day ten miles or so south at the Witterings, a beautiful stretch of beaches on the South Coast.
There is East Wittering, which is all traditional English shingle, and where we were met with traditional English seaside weather, all rain and wind and bluster.
Dear Pottles: she thinks the sea is ALL the fun
Which results in my having to wade in to rescue her, as she is completely oblivious to the waves breaking behind her. (This photo did run on the Boden story, but I bloody love it.)
I just love these photos of my sister. She looks so beautiful.
Shingle shoot done, we then we headed a few miles over to West Wittering, where there is an immaculate stretch of golden sand and a row of famous coloured beach hut
Astonishingly, the skies cleared, and the sun came out, giving us the most incredible light with which to work.
Conditions were more conducive to doggy paddling once we got over to West Wittering, where Letty went into the sea for the very first time.
Here’s my papa, looking sharp.
The glorious sky over Pagham Harbour, where we went for lunch at The Crab & Lobster.
