You may remember that back in March I was very pleased and excited to announce that I was one of the new eBay  special curators, working on the new eBay Collections initiative in the UK, along with fellow curators TV presenter and Radio 1 DJ Reggie Yates, interior designer Kelly Hoppen, Susannah Lau of StyleBubble, Danni Minogue, and musician (Blur) and cheesemaker Alex James

The feature allows eBay users to pull together items in Collections, as well as follow the collections of other eBay-ers too, and I’ve been happily scouring eBay over the intervening months since the feature launched, updating my existing boards, like The Modern Home

and Kitchenalia,

and creating new ones that reflect some of my passions – such as the Horology one above, which reflects all things clock-related, and a sparkly one for jewellery.

I warn you: it becomes addictive. (I also have boards for vintage linen, high heels and creative supplies, and a few more under construction too.)

We are in the midst of re-doing our studio, and a table like that one would have been perfect! Sometimes I spend so long looking at the nice things (and not buying) that I am surprised when they don’t arrive in the post!

I love your boards! Especially the linens one – oh, to have a cupboard full of vintage tablecloths! It’s a great addition to eBay I think – a bit like an Amazon wishlist, or maybe a Pinterest board where everything is for sale! I like using them to keep tracks of things I’d like when money allows, and as a sort of mood board for rooms in my as-yet-to-buy home! A girl can dream!

Oh my word, I used to fancy Alex James so bad! What was his collection? I hope you batted your eyelashes for me.

Didn’t know you could do that on Ebay. I would say I would take a look, but I only seem to end up buying tatt (think Lady GaGa wigs for my hen do) or necessities (travel adapters) from Ebay. Maybe I need to take a look at your boards to show me where I’m going wrong. :)
