As regular readers will know, I am wedded to my Tumi Vapor case, which travels around the world with me. But whilst mine is green, we’re here to talk about not one, but five GOLDEN Tumi Tegra -Lite cases. (These are made from Tegris, a super-strong lightweight material, currently used by the army for body armour)
That’s me at the Eurostar Terminal with one of them last week. And with Posetta Baddog in the new Cloud 7 Tumi dog carrier.
To celebrate the launch of its london flagship store on Regent Street, designed by Dror Benshetrit, Tumi has launched a competition to send two lucky winners on a luxury trip of a lifetime. And BLIMEY: this is some trip. New York, LA, Soho House, First Class cabins, the BVIs…
On Thursday five cabin crew from American Air’s elite transatlantic service hid five golden Tumi suitcases across the capital.
To enter the competition, simply follow the movie clues which can be found on TumiGoldenTicket.com, locate one of the golden cases somewhere in central London, take a picture and post it on social media using the hashtag #TumiGoldenTicket.
Each case found, photographed and posted will count as an entry, up to the maximum of five, so the more suitcases discovered the higher the chances of winning the marvellous prize! (And if you can’t make it this weekend, you’ve got a month, up until the 31 May, to find the five cases.)
Here’s the low down on the frankly SENSATIONAL prize:
Travelling to Los Angeles on American Air’s sleek new 777 Business Class service, you will be sipping champagne and enjoying a gourmet dining experience before slipping into the newly designed lie-flat seats for a blissful night’s sleep.
Landing in sunny California you’ll check in at the 5 star London West Hollywood hotel, home to Gordon Ramsey’s Boxwood Café. In the evening you will enjoy supper at members-only Soho House.
After three days, American Air will fly you Business Class to New York City, the home town of Tumi, and my current favourite hotel in Manhattan – The Surrey Hotel. A block from Central Park on the Upper East Side, you’ll be able to watch the city light up at dusk from the glorious roof terrace.
Your three days will be filled with the finest art (you are staying opposite the Metropolitan Museum!), shopping, sightseeing and the nights on Broadway, cheering on the New York Yankees or enjoying dinner á deux at the ‘chefs table’ at a Michelin starred restaurant courtesy of your hosts.
Then it’s into an American Airlines First Class cabin, to the British Virgin Islands and the luxury boutique resort of Rosewood Little Dix Bay. Created by Laurence Rockefeller in 1964, this 500 acre garden paradise is situated along the crystal clear waters of a crescent-shaped bay, protected by a coral reef. It features extensive water sports, a 47-foot luxury catamaran, nature trails, fitness centre, restaurants, bars and beach-front swimming pool overlooking the ocean. This is the perfect way to spend your second week.
All flights, hotels, transfers, feature meals and the all-inclusive stay at Little Dix Bay, plus a generous spending allowance will be met by Tumi and it’s promotional partners.
Even Posetta Baddog is excited.
The new Tumi flagship store is at 211 Regent Street.
