I’d love to believe that I look as soignee as I do in my portrait above on a daily basis, but fear that dragged-through-hedge-backwards is more often my style. Still it’s lovely to believe that there is even a vague possibility that sometimes I look this. For which I owe a huge thank you to long time LLG contributor, the marvellous Clym Evernden, who is collaborating with Balenciaga at Selfridge’s tomorrow,
A live personal portrait sketch by Clym will be complimentary to any customer who purchases Balenciaga’s Florabotanica or Rosabotanica fragrances: a wonderful chance to own a piece of his glorious work, before he heads off into the London Fashion Week fray on Friday.
The scent itself is a heady mixture of rose and green notes; it smells both reassuring and modern simultaneously. The concept is a contemporary vegetal rose accord, with a base combining notes of white amber with patchouli and woody vibes.
Clym will be situated in the Selfridges Oxford Street Beauty Hall on G between 3pm and 7pm.
