I have a huge amount of love for illustrator Rory Dobner’s work, which is stocked at Liberty (there’s a wonderful wall of his plates there). My first piece was the sausage dog mug, a present from my agent Richard, and I was thrilled when Rory and his wife Claire gave me this  candle in a sausage cache pot when we first met.

My sister gave me these silver LLG letters by Emily Readett Bayley’s Posh Graffiti for my birthday. Available here. Lurking to the left is my Anthropologie gold jewllery tree (birthday present last year from my father).

I’ve written before about how I didn’t learnt to write properly until I was 8 or 9, and that because of this my handwriting is only really legible in fountain pen.So I was very pleased when the designer of new British fountain pen house Plooms got in touch. They are made in wonderful colours, which I like as I can find them easily in my bag, and are a weighty, fluid joy with which to write. It’s also great to be able to support an independent UK start up. (I like them so much I gave a friend one for Christmas.)

Nest is possibly kitchenware designers Joseph Joseph’s hero product. Designed to take up a  minimum amount of space, it’s a 9-piece food preparation set of five cup measures, mixing bowls with non-slip bases, sieve and colander.  This is the shiny new  Nest 100 set, which I was sent, but they also come in cheerful primary colours at a more affordable price too  – there’s one for £20 in the Selfridges sale here).

Monica Vinader’s Fiji bracelets* are a cult item these days, and she has extended the range to include different metals, and all sort of ties, from neon to rose metal.

My favourite rose, Laurent Perrier’s Cuvee Rose is both delicious and spoiling. I do think good Champagne makes a perfect gift at any time of year. (M&S still have Christmas delivery)

Miller Harris make quite glorious scents. Rose en Noir is a sophisticated interpretation of a classic, and I am asked frequently to name what I am wearing: both men and women seem to love it. There are notes of Turkish rose Damascena, black pepper and violet leaf blossom at the heart, with aromatic top and base notes of coriander seed, cumin, patchouli leaf and ambrette seed featuring throughout the scent too.

Estee Lauder are known for their wonderful Limited Edition Christmas collectable compacts: this year’s is astrology based, and they sent me this Sagittarius one, as my birthday is in December. It’s a perfect size: small enough to slip in an evening bag for touchups. £38.50. (Harrods also have some quite incredible compacts here.)

Jewellery designer Daisy Knights (who blogged for LLG here) has launched some lovely watches: her Gold Star Watch* is now available on ASOS. £180
