I have had quite a few queries concerning my choice of London hairdresser since I posted the photo above from the Harper’s Bazaar/Shanghai Tang panel talk in which I took part last month. My lovely shiny blonde-ness is down, in the part which isn’t due to my genes, and my Danish ones in particular, to the lovely Evie at Jo Hansford in London’s Mayfair, where I was lucky enough to have my hair done as a comp back in September.

As you can see from the photo below, I had a goodly inch of slightly darker blonde along my parting,

So the lovely Evie, seen lurking below in the background, filled in the gaps for me. She’s now coloured my hair twice – the first was about a year ago, and I think she is brilliant: it’s nice to return and be just as pleased second time around. I know quite a lot of LLG readers have visited her since I wrote her up last time, and everyone has been thrilled with the results.

After my roots were dealt with, Evie then sent me off to Steve’s chair for an absolutely epic blowdry, one of the best I’ve had in years. A proper, long lasting, bouncy, BIG, Texan-style blow dry, which lasted three days – a miracle for my extremely fine and poker straight locks.

Highlights: Evie. Blowdry: Steve. Both at Jo Hansford,48 South Audley Street, Mayfair, London W1K 2QB.

Thanks for your recommendation! I’ll write it down for next time! I have just gone to the hairdresser last Friday to get a edgier hair cut!

The image with the foil for the highlights is so funny! lol

Best, xx

Oh you lucky lady… I used to go to Jo Hansford when I lived in England and Steve does the best cut and blowdry that I have EVER had. They also sorted my hair disaster ( caused by a different salon) 3 weeks before our Wedding, I walked in sporting red and green hair and left with shiny, swishy hair to rival Rapunzel!
Your hair looks gorgeous
