A (Gü) Girl’s Guide to a Fabulously Festive Party Season…

My association with Gü Puds amounts to quite a lot more than scarfing every Gü Key Lime Pie in sight from Virgin Atlantic’s in flight catering trolley, and  regularly clearing out the supply of Gü Chocolate Souffles in my local Sainsbury’s.

You may remember that back in spring 2012 I let Gü Puds’ Head Chef Fred Ponnavoy loose in my London kitchen, where he cooked up the most delicious tasting menu using chocolate in each course, and sending the collective taste buds of seven journalists on a quite extraordinary sensory journey. (Friends still mention the epic Chocolate Venison Open Ravioli with Herb Salad, from the Gü Cookbook.)

So I was pretty excited when it was decided that this year’s Gü Festive Guide would be a collaboration with me and with Fred. My advance copy arrived this morning, fresh off the presses, and I am thrilled to give you a sneak preview of  Gü Puds’ A Girl’s Guide to a Fabulously Festive Party Season…in association with LibertyLondonGirl.

Within its pages Fred deals with the food side of the holidays, and I am all about the style: the flowers, the table top, and what to wear – with, of course, a judicious amount of festive glitter…

There are also some excellent recipes from Gü HQ. These cocktails may come in handy during the festive season

and, as far as I am concerned, these have self-gifting written all over them.

I’ve also created a Christmas Entertaining board over on Pinterest, inspired by our collaboration. You find it here.

Lots of inspiration on that board. The white wreath is exquisite.
