You may remember that back in February I hosted an evening at The Soho Hotel to introduce a group of my friends to one of my favourite skin care brands, Caudalie. The product they were showing was the brand new Caudalie Premier Cru La Crème.
We were all given a bottle of it to take home afterwards, and I have been using it since then. The premise behind the cream is that it delivers an anti-aging action, defining the skin and adding radiance to the complexion.
The cream contains a one off cocktail of all the Caudalie patented ingredients deriving from grape extracts, including Resveratrol-Oleyl and Viniferine, as well as high concentrations of cosmetic buzz ingredients: Polyphenols, Cassia Angustifolia, and Tetrapeptides, which are all designed to correct signs of aging.
Does it deliver? Thankfully, yes. I’ve found that the texture of my sometimes bumpy, roughened skin has felt discernably smoother, almost velvety after application. There is a definite plumping affect – due no doubt to the presence of Hyaluronic acid in the formula and, after a month of usage, I began to notice a distinct brightening effect, and smoothing of the minor creases around my mouth. Sometimes high formula creams can exacerbate my rosacea, but this has, if anything, calmed my skin and, I think, lessened my outbreaks.
Has it made me look distinctly younger? Of course not. It’s a cream, not cosmetic surgery in a bottle but, overall, I found it just as efficacious as the other Caudalie face creams that I have sworn by over the six years of this site.
