Dog of the Day: Oscar the Fawn Pug, in association with Dogs Trust

Pug Kate Lord Brown

LLG has a new Foreign Correspondent: Oscar the one year old pug. He lives with his human, the novelist Kate Lord Brown, in Qatar. Over to you Oscar…

To be a writer’s Muse, it takes a special blend of charm, style, and the ability to eat pencils. One cannot take one’s looks for granted of course. Milo, my rescue Siamese companion never turns a hair, but I find the desert climate plays havoc with your complexion and paws, and I do like to stay abreast of global trends with LLG:

I keep out of the heat of the day, lolling on the daybed at my human’s side. She says my snoring is so loud, it sometimes stops her writing – but what price is inspiration?

Family is important to me. When my human is travelling for work, I check into the Desert Breeze Pet Resort, and hang out by the pool with my sister and the gang:

When summer temperatures reach 55 degrees, a few days at the dog spa with a little hydrotherapy ….

and daily yoga stretches …

… soon have me ready for the red carpet again.

The Perfume Garden by Kate Lord Brown is out now.

I am oohing and ahhing at this gorgeous pug too loudly, people in Patisserie Valerie are casting curious looks. After seeing all the beautiful dogs featured here, Im seriously thinking about adopting a rescue dog from the Dog’s Trust. How could you not want to have these gorgeous animals in your life? Just need to make sure comfy sofa, walk routine, spa breaks and winter wardrobe of fetching dog coats are at the ready :-) Cant wait!
