It’s Day One of London Fashion Week, and Team LLG have been at Somerset House (above, viewed from the Radio Bar at the shiny new ME London Hotel) since 8am this morning, making number two of our films about Zoe Jordan’s AW13 show, in association with luxury reseller Vestiaire Collective.
We’re now holed up in a very lovely room at the ME London, which I have been lent for the day, editing together the morning’s footage, and I am hoping to get out to some of the shows this afternoon – especially Stephen Jones’ Headonism presentation.
It’s a beautiful day in London: we had a restorative coffee up in Radio, the rooftop bar at the ME London, after we finished filming this morning, and watched the sunshine glisten on the Thames. (Along with a room full of stylists and fashion people.) I thought I’d share the view with you in the series of images below: it’s really quite phenomenal. It’s going to be a hard task extracting me from here! It’s the perfect hotel for LFW: bang opposite Somerset House.
Down The Strand, with Nelson’s Column in Trafalgar Square in the distance:
Over the Thames, to the South Bank, and the National Theatre, with the London Eye, the Houses of Parliament & Big Ben off to the right:
St Paul’s Cathedral, the Shard, the Gherkin:
I think we’ve just found London’s new hotspot bar for the summer…(The hotel is in soft opening right now, with the officia launch on March 1st.)
