LLG in London: A Breakfast in Bed Treat

Breakfast in bed

I had the most wonderful birthday in December: I was not madly excited about being a year older, and was in a complete grump about the whole affair. Luckily my sister, Clare & Fran had other plans, and whisked me off to Whitstable for fun and games,  (of which more later), whilst Ayla & Tara took me out for supper when I got back. My dear friend Anne also had a plan up her sleeve: she asked me for a morning when I didn’t have a meeting and arrived on my doorstep, with hound in tow.

Telling me to get back into bed, she took control of my kitchen, and appeared fifteen minutes later with this tray of amazing-ness. There was a scrumptious frittata stuffed with cheese, spinach, squash and pumpkin seeds, a dish of strawberries, yogurt & seeds, and a Danish of delicious-ness. She even bought coffee in a vacuum flask, and orchids in a tiny vase.

And she packed a footwarmer for me:

what a gorgeous treat! All I got was a bacon sandwich, which my daughter proceeded to eat for me!
