On Monday in London photographer Sean Cook shot me for a piece that is running in Stylist magazine next week, to support the Diesel / Tapestry collaboration of which I am the face. (Tapestry is an innovative and exciting new tech start-up that aims to enhance the entire real world retail experience via the smartphone in your hand.)
As we did with the last LLG/Diesel collaboration, we thought you might like to see some of the behind scenes action on the shoot.
A shoot marches on its stomach. Breakfast is usually provided, and there was also granola and a baguette on hand.
The location, a double height apartment in Battersea, south London, which is used solely as a studio.
The make-up artist’s kit.
The rail of AW12 Diesel pieces that we pulled form the Westfield store on Friday.
Setting up look One. I was thrilled that Stylist had booked a freelance sittings editor, who just happened to be the marvellous Kiki Georgiou, who long-term LLG readers will know assisted me at London Fashion Week back in 2010.
Look Two:
The plus point of shooting a story to accompany a tech piece: no one minds if I have my phone in my hand all the time. (In this case my shiny new Samsung S3.)
There’s always a touch up of hair and make up between looks:
Then it was a break for lunch. Tagines, couscous and rocket salad from an outside caterer.
And then it was time for the final shot, moving fast as the light was going:

BBC’s Click has a segment on fashion and technology this week interestingly enough. Tapestry was featured along with other software to support online retail specifically for trying on clothes.
