Jergens Moisturiser

Not a glamorous, shiny or expensive beauty buy, but one that was actually recommended by LLG readers, after I had written about another rather more expensive moisturiser. There’s a whole family of Jergens body moisturisers, for different skin needs and, having tried most of them, I can safely say that they do exactly what they say on the tin: give beautifully soft skin.

I don’t normally like scented body moisturisers for two reasons: I have sensitive skin, and they sometimes can clash with whatever scent one is wearing. But I rather liked this. It was like wearing a Bakewell Tart.

Jergens Original Beauty Lotion Cherry-Almond Body Moisturiser 200ml £3.49

Disclosure: I was a speaker at Kao Brands global marketing conference in Miami back in November 2011. Kao Brands are the parent company of Jergens.

Oh yes, I LOVE this – all Jergens moisturisers are fab, but this scent is just beyond delicious! I have sensitive skin too, and it’s so soothing, and great for keeping your skin hydrated when you want to maintain a (faux) tan! xx

Hi Sasha. It was actually me who recommended this – but since then, I’ve found out that Jergens are discontinuing the Naturals range which is actually what I was so fond of… The lotion in your picture is from the new range, and unfortunately the new formulations have been given a make-over (they now contain less natural ingredients and all contain liquid paraffin).

I have to say I feel rather cheated, as I feel this product is not as good quality as the previous one, and although it may still be ok (and I’m happy that you enjoy it), I just really don’t like it when a brand changes the formulation for the worse, covering it all up with a simple change in packaging!

Sorry for a rant, but I felt a little bit responsible for this product being featured 😉
