I did have an excellent time at Fashion’s Night Out: after my Coach co-hosting duties, where we were so busy that the store had to shut its doors to new arrivals for a while, I headed down Bond Street to the Samsung Stage to see Nicholas Kirkwood’s new project as the Samsung ambassador for the GALAXY Note 10.1 tablet.
It was an excellent walk: I hadn’t quite realised the degree to which the Bond Street was going all out.
From the Tory Burch airstream café via Missoni’s ice cream stand to Vodafone’s nifty mobile charging stations, there was a lot with which to get involved.
I got distracted for a while outside Hermes: whoever decided to build a stage, drape it with Hermes silk scarves, and book a swing band was a marketing genius. I really didn’t think anything could top the fantastic swing dancers in their Hermes silk scarf skirts, until I finally got down to the Samsung stage where Aluna George (top) were playing.
I also got a sneak peek at the designs for Mr. Kirkwood’s cases for the Samsung GALAXY Note 10.1. (Note: add to mental shopping list.)
Here’s Nicholas designing a shoe live on the Note on Thursday night.
I have no drawing skilz, but how cool is this? I love being able to write on my tablet. (As regular readers will know, I’ve had a Samsung Galaxy Tablet for a year now, but the Note is even more exciting.)
This is a sponsored post in association with Samsung, who provided me with the new Samsung Galaxy 10.1 Note to take these photographs at FNO.
