Port Eliot… there are many, many tents…
A beautiful stately home…
A church in case we get any revelations late at night.
There is my lovely friend Rachel, who is sharing the tipi (you can take the girl out of New York…):
There has been quite a lot of this:
(Delicious St Austell Brewery ale from my lovely hosts here at Port Eliot.)
There are stores that cater for your every need:
There’s a place to get hydrangea headbands, modelled here by my friend Emily C from British Elle:
There are, inevitably, loooong lines for the portable showers first thing:
And, of course, there is delicious festival food. Nachos late at night. Mmmmmmmm.….

I’ve been so so tempted to go to Port Eliot festival several times, but no one I know wants to go -would you believe it!
Gunna just go anyway next year I think! xo
@Amber: Just a headsup that Port Eliot is on sabbatical next year in 2013, but it’s back again in 2014! LLGxx
Oh, to be “in England’s green and pleasant land”- miss my summers in the UK.
Thank you for sharing and bringing me a little slice of my native land.
@Ann Espe: A pleasure! Even tho it has rained so much this year, there is nothing quite like an English summer! LLGxx
The views look amazing

proper ale and cider- the festival I’m just back from- which I won’t name- had very mainstream offerings on the drinks front and it somewhat saddened us
@Rose: I think it’s really important to support local companies; especially when a festival is as intimate and lovely as Port Eliot. I’d have been sad too. LLGxx
