I am practically FIZZING with excitement about this: a collaboration between World Dance Champions Flawless and ENB (the UK’s national ballet company), fusing streetdance, acrobatics and ballet promises to be just the most amazing thing.

I don’t normally write about events in advance — not being a news website an ‘all. But when the ENB emailed to tell me that they and Flawless  had collaborated, and asked if lil’sis and I would like to attend the opening night/première at the Hammersmith Apollo, we, ahem, leapt at the chance, and I was excited that I wanted to make sure any of you who might be interested had time to get tickets too.

It’s also great to get the chance to promote something exciting that is largely happening outside of London, so I didn’t want to wait until we had seen it to let you all know that this is happening. The tickets are extremely good value, and I’ve included the list of venues at the bottom of this post.

The show has been created by Flawless artistic director and lead choreographer Marlon “Swoosh” Wallen, and Jenna Lee, soloist and choreographer at English National Ballet, for ten Flawless dancers and ten English National Ballet ballerinas. (The ENB and Flawless first joined forces in September 2011 when they performed at the Peace One Day concert at the O2 in London.)

Against Time is a co-production between English National Ballet and World Dance Management and has been created by Flawless and Jenna Lee. Generously supported by M•A•C, Swarovski and The Idlewild Trust.
