LLG Fashion: Aldo Rise Shoes for JW Anderson SS12

by Sasha Wilkins on April 2, 2012 · 9 comments

oh lovely new shoes. I’m well aware that this is pair number two in as many weeks, but I haven’t bought any new clothes yet, and it *is* the beginning of the new season. I’ve been wanting them since I saw them on the runway at J W Anderson’s SS12 show at London Fashion Week, as part of his collaboration with Aldo, so I’m afraid I succumbed at the weekend, when the sun was shining, and a pair of white pointy toed stilettos seemed just the ticket.

I have much love for them because I can’t normally wear a stiletto pump – my feet and ankles are too narrow so they fall off – hence why all my shoes have straps. These are pretty damn perfect – a pump with a strap. All win, my friends, all win. And they are going to look fab with a rolled hem, with jeans, with a neat pencil skirt, and with, well, everything, being just high enough to run for a bus, but not so high that I will cripple myself.

Aldo, under their Rise label,  collaborated at London Fashion Week SS12 with three designers: JW Anderson, Preen and Mark Fast, and all the shoes from the collections are available now. I’ve got my eye on this Preen pair, and it’s a pretty sure thing that these blue JW Anderson stilettos will be coming home with me sooner or later.

Ooooh they look pretty! I love how cool they look with your cropped troos and I am SO impressed that you can run in them, I am hopeless with heels, I can just about walk in a 3 inch :/

I bought the Preen pair in orange just for the off-kilter heel.

I should have asked this in my previous comment but how is the lacing? Does it dig into your feet? I was considering them but feared rubbing.

Aldo has upped their game in the last few years but I remember the days when they were awful and cheap in looks and quality.

I just bought these with 50% off at ASOS – absolutely gorgeous! The navy ones are on sale to.
