It’s been aaaages since I did a giveaway here on LLG, so here’s a good one.
I have a BRAND NEW & unworn pair of Goldsign’s immensely flattering, red hot flared Virginia jeans in a size 27 to give away. I was given them but, sadly, owing to excessive mince pie consumption, I cannot *quite* do them up. So, with Goldsign’s permission, I thought I would send them on to a home where they could be properly loved.
They are a mid-rise flare with a seam detail at the back of the leg. They are slim fitting to the knee and then open out to a 25″ Flare. They retail for £335.00
Los Angeles-based Adriano Goldschmied of Goldsign is a denim legend. He launched Diesel with Renzo Rosso, before moving on to launch Replay. He launched Goldsign in 2005, as his super high end personal denim line, with a mission to make jeans with an unprecedented level of tailoring. In September 2007, Citizens of Humanity named Adriano Goldschmied as a partner, and acquired the GoldSign denim label. Adriano still personally oversees it, from his own laundry atelier, to the development studio and manufacturing.
I love Goldsign jeans — I know they are super expensive, so I am not going to try to justify them: either they are your thing — or they are not. All else aside, the cut is incredibly flattering and because of Goldsign’s signature stretch fabrics they hold their shape extremely well, matching up to any pair of designer pants at the same price point. And they make your bottom look extra peachy. Just sayin’
If you’d like to own this pair yourself ( I’m sorry I only have one pair in size 27 to giveaway, so no other sizes available), simply leave a comment below telling us about your favourite pair of jeans. (You don’t need to write an essay tho — a line or two is good!) I am happy to mail abroad, so this is open to ALL LLG readers, (on the understanding that they are responsible for any customs charges in the unlikely event that any are incurred.)
The lovely Donna Ida (who recently guest blogged for me) also sells them (& other great Goldsign jeans) here.

I have never had found a favourite pair of jeans, these could be them though
In younger years 100% Levi s fan, I used to wear carochejeans upto last year. Now they don t produce anymore and I bought some C&A throusers last summer :0 .. Hehe. Rgds from 081 barcelona.
Jeans?! Who doesn’t live in them?!
. My current favorite is the ones that make me feel like I have legs that go on for miles and fit like they were made just for me! Comfort, style, fabric, and longevity are important when donning on a pair. If a pair makes my bum feel less than ‘peachy’ off it goes! At the moment I have a ‘Audrey Hepburn-eque’ noir Paige Denim pair on that make me feel gorgeous! Would love to try your Goldsign!
My black skinny ankle-length Whistles pair…I practically live in them, so actually bought a spare pair for when the first ones fall apart! xJ
my diesel distressed skinnies are my favourite. the joy at getting into them after two children was pretty much unparalled! I’ve been on the lookout for some flares and these look perfect.
Just my size (if also long but AGs usually are ) and perfect timing.. I was just starting ‘jean research’ b/c have honestly not bought a pair for a few years as LOVE my Levi’s & JBrands & they still look amazing but as I now go to work in jeans most days (I’m such a lucky gal!) & desperately need a serious new fashion jean fix (as this cold grey time of year is having it’s effect!), I’m in the market. Also looking for some cool organic cotton ones that fit & wash well if anyone has some suggestions (taking advantage of this post!).. as I’m really trying to be and learning to be more sustainable (another reason why I LOVE this giveaway.. what a great idea & has inspired me to bring in 2 things tomorrow for my office mates that are new & unfortunately don’t fit). And sorry but 2nd hand jeans just isn’t the solution but a giveaway jean .. now that’s a GREAT solution! Sorry, tried to be short & to the point!
And thank you for such a great idea!!
Wow, a free pair of jeans that are flattering? What more could a person ask for. I have so much trouble finding jeans that fit me. It’s my worse shopping nightmare. I have a small waist (27) but athletic (nice way of putting it, but true) thighs. I’m a slight misfit but overall I am a size 4. So, these jeans sound as though they might be a gift from the jean fairy god mother. I do live in the states, though so hope that is not a problem. What a nice gesture.
Cheers.
Susan
My all-time fav are a pair of Billy Super Ts that I bought a few years ago when I was living in Bermuda. These True Religion jeans worked their magic on my post-natal bumps; cinching in my bits and bobs in all the right places! I always look forward to the non-work days when I can delve into my closet and pull on my go-to blues that make me feel really great about myself!
My favourite pair of jeans are Jbrand cigarette legs which I’ve had for 3 years after doing battle for them with another girl in the sales. I put my hands on them a fraction of a second before she did, and normally the polite, not wanting to ‘snatch’ side of me would have come out and said ‘you take them’, but they were the LAST PAIR, heavily reduced, and I had been watching them in this boutique for months. I whipped them away and sprinted to the counter, leaving one slingback behind in the process, and didn’t go back for my shoe until I had the jeans, literally, in the bag. I’ve only ever washed them in cold and looked after them, but now they’re looking tired… the perfect time to try out some Goldsigns
ps. you’re a far nobler woman than I to be able to give away a pair of jeans that flatter the derrière, Christmas excess or no!
What am amazing giveaway,I have never tried designer jeans and find jeans shopping quite difficult,as anything that fits me around my hips is huge around my waist, the best fitting pair so far I have found to be Gap Sexy Bootcut, worn with a belt! I would absolutely love to try these gorgeous jeans!Thank you
AG are my favourite jeans. They have the perfect fit and the denim fabric is an excellent quality. They are pretty pricey but last forever. Eventhough, I just had to throw away my old pair as they have worn out..
The last time I had a favourite pear of jeans…I mean a truly favourite pair…I think I was about 9 and they were checked! Beautiful they were.…well it was the eighties and how was I supposed to know!? I actually cried when the little hole in the knee got just that little bit too big and they had to go to denim heaven…cue nostalgic sigh (25 yeas on) x
Favourite Jeans. My first pair when I was about 7yrs. No idea of brand but they had pink strips down the seam on each leg. I felt so special wearing them! First item of clothing I was able to choose myself — that’s a big deal for a 7yr old.
I am still looking for that perfect pair, but my favourite so far was a pair of black Nudie High Kai skinny jeans. They got me quite a few compliments as well as whistles from builders, especially when paired with 5 inch high stilettos;-)
Thank you for another fab give-away, I am thrilled the prize is in my size:-)
Hah — my favourite pair of jeans is a pair of 27″ button front Levis into which I have not fitted for some years now, nor ever expect to again, but keep hanging in my wardrobe as a talisman, and a gesture towards the triumph of hope over experience.
Why do I want your jeans, then? For my niece, Hannah, who is exactly the right size for them, and is brave and talented and beautiful and very, very broke. She plays in a bluegrass band, the Toy Hearts (http://www.thetoyhearts.com/), with her sister, Sophia: they are terrific musicians, and put their hearts and souls into it, but it’s a niche form of music in the UK, and it’s a constant struggle to make a living.
See a recent interview with Hannah here, which includes a link to one of their videos: http://www.m-magazine.co.uk/featuresinterviews/january-blues-with-the-toy-hearts/
Hannah has achieved a musical career despite the sometimes devastating physical and emotional effects of suffering, from the age of 13, from severe psoriasis, coping with which is a continuing struggle for her. She also tries to raise funds for the Psoriasis Association, and will shortly be taking part in a sponsored parachute jump for them (if you would like to sponsor her, please go to http://www.justgiving.com/Hannah-Johnson3).
Hannah loves fashion and would be beyond thrilled to receive your jeans, which she could never possibly afford to buy for herself. OK, I am a totally biased, doting aunt, but I admire her tremendously, and can’t think of anyone who would deserve them more.
Wow — pretty generous of you and Goldsign for trying to find them a good home to go to.
My flared James Jeans I bought last year are my current favourite — I’m wearing them to death. They lift up my bum, suck in my thighs and they never become loose around the knees. i.e. everything a quality pair of jeans are meant to do!
My favorite pair of all time was the first pair of bootcuts I bought my freshman year of college. 1996, and I felt ever so daring having only worn straight leg jeans to that point!
Haven’t had a pair of flared jeans in ages, and these look wonderful. Certainly will be a change from my usual straight-legs style!
My favourite jeans are my Twenty8Twelve ones and were also ‘acquired’ (from my sister; I’m not usually one for celeb brands). Against all (or rather, no) expectations they’re super comfortable, have kept their lovely indigo colour despite repeated abuse and multiple washings (I know you’re not supposed to but, really?), have not sagged or — my number 1 denim curse — ripped in the crotch, despite daily use… But still it would be lovely to get off the skinnies rut and try some flares!
M and S flared jeans with neatly stitched hem lines
Navy bell bottoms they’re mine for all times
Faithful and friendly they’ll always be true
Close to my figure they still seem like new.…
I love to buy jeans by Silver because they have just the right amount of stretch without feeling like leggings.
My favorite jeans ever are my AG angel that I wore so much I got holes in the inseam. I have been trying for years to replace but have yet to find a comparable. Perhaps these will do? Hope so
Hmmm…I’m hard pressed to pick just one, but I do love my James Jeans. They’re super flattering, snug but comfortable, and I think they make me look taller—a real boon considering I’m 5’4″.
Thanks for the lovely giveaway and in my size!
well bloody hell, I was going to leave a comment, but then I read carolinefo’s comment and thought why bother– game over!
So, assuming hannah gets the jeans (they wouldn’t fit me anyway), i would just like to say, in the spirit of sharing information, that my favorite pair of jeans are Nudie Hai Kai (high-waist and skinny). I have them in black and in a distressed blue wash. Ladies, these jeans are the shit. I swear, not only do they make you look five inches taller and five pounds lighter, but they hold their shape like no jeans I have ever known.
I’ve tried all brands. J. Brand, eh? Over-rated. Have had some luck with C of H, but no luck (oddly) with Goldsign– perhaps just the models I tried. Two of my favorite pairs are by Acne, but in general I think that brand is hit and miss. I’m also partial to Current/Elliot denim, but the styling is very distressed-focused. Same goes for R13 (which are stupendously over-priced, but very high quality). I also tried a pair of plain black Isabel Marant skinnies recently and the fit was awful– massive gaping back.
In terms of sleek, super-sexy fit and long-lasting, quality denim, the Nudie Hai Kai’s are the holy grail. I swear.
LLG don’t know how I managed to slip in at comment 21 — as far as I know should’ve been somewhere around comment 70 — don’t want to queue jump!
My favorite jeans are a pair of 7 for all Mankind bootcuts, from one of the very earliest batches. They were my very first pair of ‘designer’ jeans, and I saved up to buy them while in college. The 7s are wonderfully soft with a higher rise and perfect medium-dark wash. I have never tried Goldsign, but these look to be an immensely flattering pair!
Being 13 or so years old, I got my first proper (not from the kids department) jeans. It was a Levi’s 501, it was (20 years ago…) difficult to find and I remember wearing it while being on the tram to school, squeezed in a crowd of other teenage pupils. I felt the straight legs and rough denim on my ankles, as opposed to the carrot-shaped, soft ones from the department store. For the first time, an item of clothes made me feel grown-up and fashionable. I wore Levi’s 501 for a (probably too) long time, in different colors and shades, until I realized that being fashionable demands for different shapes and brands. However, I can still recall this moment — and this makes the 501 my favorite jeans.
My favorite pair of jeans would be ones that don’t stretch or sag after the premier wearing (I’m looking at you, expensive pair of denim that I just bought, unreturnable, online! Grr.)
A focus on tailoring and the ability to hold up to many-a-couch snuggling, dog-chasing, and weekend bar hoping is ideal. Versatile denim for my versatile life!
My favorite pair of jeans are my dark wash skinny jeans, because they’re tight & stretchy.
Rich indigo-rinse and gimmick-free, my old AG Angel boot-cuts are this short and dumpy’s best friend! Adriano Goldschmied deserves an honorary OBE for Services to Women.
I love my blue skinny Whistles jeans bought last summer (so much so I also bought an orange and a green pair) though the colours aren’t ideal in the current freezing weather
I was introduced to a pair of J Brand black skinnies over a year ago and I have never looked back. The best way to describe the fit is to simply say — My arse kicks ass!
A pair of Levi’s Capital E’s — they are ripped and torn and re-ripped to the point of unwearable but I love them to pieces and pieces. The perfect jeans to pair with a vintage rock and roll tee OR a fancy, fancy jacket. indeed.
Post puberty + curves the only pair of jean i really found that fitted me were Go Vicinity brand, which I went on to leave drying on a balcony whilst on holiday.…
More of a dress person, hence I never took the time to find a good fitting jean.…
My Earnest Sewn straight leg jeans which I’m wearing as I type. Great pegged up at the bottom with ballet flats, brilliant with a elegant boot and blouse if I have a meeting.
A pair of straight-leg, dark-wash Calvin Klein jeans that has kept going for over 10 years through various sartorial moods and trends. They work with large meals, infrequent washings, and an astonishing array of tops.
Since the birth of my second child my old jeans don’t *quite* fit. And that pains me. Lots. I miss wearing jeans.
@Sophie Johnson:
But, ha, I just realised I didn’t actually write about my favourite pair… Gap Skinnies. For sure. But only when they are straight from the wash, after a couple of wears they lose all their shape
My favourite pair of jeans were a pair by Blue Blood…sadly I wore them most days for uni and ended up wearing them out, and I still haven’t managed to find another favourite pair!
My favorite jeans would be the most comfortable and its my 7 for all Mankind boot cut slightly faded old blue jeans (probably 10 years old) that is shaped so very much like what you have on your picture of Goldsign. I am a size 27 and a mother of a lovely 15 yr old girl. I have not bought any designer jeans since my 7 for all Mankind jeans and would love to win this pair you are giving away!
Not sure if this is still an open contest…but whether it is or not, my fave pair of jeans are from the Gap’s 1969 line. I just keep buying the same pair over and over…each time wearing them until they’re threadbare and I’ve ripped an unrepairable hole into them. What can I say, I love a great pair of jeans!
Tuesday
p.s. — absolutely am the biggest fan of your blog. luv-luv.
My favourite pair of jeans (sadly long passed away due to excessive wear and no longer in production) made my ass look AMAZING — sooo perky and juicy, they gave the impression of a much nicer bum than the actual one underneath! The colour was the perfect blue and the cut on the leg was super flattering. My tip is to ALWAYS buy at least a couple of pairs if you find your holy grail. You bum will thank you for it.
A pair of Miss Sixty Jeans which I got in the sales in San Francisco. They are kind of falling apart now, I need to replace them
I love my Paige dark blue bootcut jeans. The first pair I ever spent huge amounts of money on. The ones that got me hooked on good jeans. The ones that make me feel great when I wear them. The ones I can’t quite afford to replace right now as I just started my own business…
My perfect pair of jeans are a pair of Calvin Klein’s, so confortable and not too skinny or light. This that you give away are very interesting because have a nice fit (I guess)
So..finger crossed
A highly inappropriate tear on the bum has finally forced me to send my beloved Topshop skinny jeans to the bin after 6 years. My sorrow is in direct correlation to the size of the tear on the jeans.
I only came here for a leek and potato soup recipe, how lovely to have the chance to win new jeans!

When I was just 14 and poor, my posh friend had a pair of Lybro Sea-dogs that I coveted terribly. Soft brushed denim, gently flared; I dreamed of owning a pair myself. My dream came true when, once *perfectly* faded and worn-in, my friend declared them too scruffy — and gave them to me! No jeans since have filled my heart with such sublime joy. Once more I dream of perfection… and having recently slimmed-down to a perfect size 27, I wonder; can dreams come true twice in a lifetime?
Levi’s red tag, dark blue or white only…old, new, whatever. Love, love love them
I’m very simple with my jeans and end up reading for my Old Navy or Capital Tailor jeans (via Loehmann’s in NYC) the most. I’ve wanted to invest in more quality jeans and this would be a nice start!
My favourite ones are navy blue slim jeans. Basically I love jeans as I can wear them everywhereand with everything, for each occasion. I know it’s trivial what I say but we all know it’s true
