LLG Giveaway: Goldsign Virginia flared jeans worth £335

February 1, 2012 · 114 comments

It’s been aaaages since I did a giveaway here on LLG, so here’s a good one.

I have a BRAND NEW & unworn pair of Goldsign’s immensely flattering, red hot flared Virginia jeans in a size 27 to give away. I was given them but, sadly, owing to excessive mince pie consumption, I cannot *quite* do them up. So, with Goldsign’s permission, I thought I would send them on to a home where they could be properly loved.

They are a mid-rise flare with a seam detail at the back of the leg. They are slim fitting to the knee and then open out to a 25″ Flare. They retail for £335.00

Los Angeles-based Adriano Goldschmied of Goldsign is a denim legend. He launched Diesel with Renzo Rosso, before moving on to launch Replay. He launched Goldsign in 2005, as his super high end personal denim line, with a mission to make jeans with an unprecedented level of tailoring. In September 2007, Citizens of Humanity named Adriano Goldschmied as a partner, and acquired the GoldSign denim label. Adriano still personally oversees it, from his own laundry atelier, to the development studio and manufacturing.

I love Goldsign jeans — I know they are super expensive, so I am not going to try to justify them: either they are your thing  — or they are not. All else aside, the cut is incredibly flattering and because of Goldsign’s signature stretch fabrics they hold their shape extremely well, matching up to any pair of designer pants at the same price point. And they make your bottom look extra peachy. Just sayin’

If you’d like to own this pair yourself ( I’m sorry I only have one pair in size 27 to giveaway, so no other sizes available), simply leave a comment below telling us about your favourite pair of jeans. (You don’t need to write an essay tho — a line or two is good!) I am happy to mail abroad, so this is open to ALL LLG readers, (on the understanding that they are responsible for any customs charges in the unlikely event that any are incurred.)

The lovely Donna Ida (who recently guest blogged for me) also sells them (& other great Goldsign jeans) here.

I forgot to leave a comment. These are lovely looking though I admit I didn’t know about this brand until you wrote about it. Thanks for the chance, LLG!

I would say my favourite pair of jeans would be the MiH Londons I am impatiently waiting for to come back from being hemmed. They will be so perfect for running around town.

Oh my GOD, they are gorgeous!!! I have had my eye on the flares trend, I think that they’re very flattering. I digress: fave pair of jeans are my high- rise J-Brand. They cover the wine handles and hide a multitude of sins!

My J Brand waxed skinny jeans are my absolute favourite. Can be worn for all events with a casual tee and cardigan in the day or dressed up with a smart top or tunic for a chic but trendy evening look! xx

The only jeans I own are Goldsign Misfits (in blue and black) – they are so flattering! I wore my first pair so often that I somehow caused a hole in the bum to develop (I remain completely mystified as to how!) Would love to expand my jeans collection (baby steps!). Fingers crossed x

I still remember the day.. I went to a car boot sale when I was 18 under duress and there I sighted a brand new pair of men’s Levi 501′s for $1 so I bought them for my brother. On arriving home, I tried them on & they fitted perfectly.. That perfect combo of boy grunge & surfie cool stepped into my life & only left me a couple of years later worn to threads. Sorry to my brother but ah great jeans!

For me, that perfect pair of jeans supersedes all labels. It’s not about having 10 pairs hanging in your wardrobe – it’s about finding that one fail safe, can’t-live-without-them pair that 1) zips up with ease, 2) makes your legs look like Gisele’s, and 3) and your bum look like Beyonce’s. Are the Goldsign Virginia Flares it? I hope so! x

My favorite pair of jeans were a pair of boot cut Citizen of Humanity Jeans that I bought several years ago. They were a perfect wash and looked great with any footwear. I wore them to death (they ripped in the bottom area). I loved them so much it took me a year from them ripping to throw them away. I searched everywhere but couldn’t find a replacement pair.

I bought a pair of orange tab levi flares a couple of years ago for more than I’ve ever paid for jeans, and they were worth it! Just the right faded blue, perfect length and flare. I feel immediately like a sixties flower girl whenever I put them on.

I do have a lot of jeans though – that’s the beauty of denim: endlessly versatile and available for every mood.

Thanks LLG!

My favorites have been (somewhat embarassingly) a perfectly distressed pair of Abercrombie & Fitch jeans when I was in high school. They fit perfectly, but alas I did not keep my 18 yr old size. Now I love Paige and Citizens.
