I do love walking through London just before Christmas, especially down New & Old Bond Streets, in all their Georgian splendour. This week I did a whistlestop mission to the official LLG stationers, Smythson, to pick up Christmas presents for lovely Richard, my agent, and for dearest Katie, off to pastures new, and couldn’t leave Bond Street without a quick squint at the festive shopfronts.

Above is Cartier, who I think win for sheer festive exuberance. Although Tiffany looks gorgeous too:

beautiful! In My Week with Marilyn I noticed that Marilyn goes shopping to Bond Street and they filmed outside Asprey- they obviously didn’t have to change a thing which I loved. I couldn’t not be in London in the run up to Christmas- the actual day is for the country and walks and duvets but the build up is for the city

Lovely! Makes me really miss London.
Very similar to a post I wrote recently about NYC Christmas windows – including the inclusion of non-festive but brilliant Louis Vuitton circus window!

Just gorgeous!
Wish I could be there 🙂

I absolutely adore London at Christmas especially for the window displays and decorations.

For me you have captured some of the best displays. I thought Cartier last year was lovely too. I have enjoyed seeing the changing Mulberry window this year, albeit via Twitter.

I only wish I could walk past them everyday!
