(Taking my photo on my Samsung tablet)
I did a shoot for a magazine on Friday here in London. Obviously, because of long lead times, I can’t divulge any information whatsoever about who or what it was for but I thought you may like to have a photographic peek behind the scenes.
This is the loft studio at Snap Studios on the New North Road in London, in the hinterland between Islington & Old Street, full of lovely flattering daylight.
It’s filled with random photographic props:
In the far corner is a kitchen for shoot catering. (We had a boxed lunch of lentil salads, roasted squashes, grilled chicken, and tortilla.)
Jemima the stylist called in rails of really lovely clothes for the other people on the shoot.
Because my body shape is fundamentally unsuited to 99% of designer clothes on the market, and I don’t fit into samples, experience has taught me to always bring in a bunch of my own frocks on shoots, and so I ended up wearing my own D&G black wool & chiffon cocktail dress, (a gift from Harvey Nichols) with Whistles spotty tights and some evil, evil shoes from Jemima’s magic shoe selection (which was four times the amount in the photo below).
I had my hair & makeup done by the lovely Jo Clayton (www.joclayton.com) – the best shoot make up I have EVER had. I felt like the best possible version of me. (And was reassured to see that she used the same Armani foundation that I use too.)
The finished me:
Photos out in December-ish.

@FashionClout: oh you are so right! Clothes you often would never wear in real life, but can look amazing with great styling – and a load of gaffer tape and bulldog clips…LLGxx

I know the camera is covering more than half your face, but you really look like a young Catherine Deneuve in the last pic– really, really.
