I can’t quite believe that I am here, back in Colt’s Neck, with my boys. The dogs were flatteringly happy to see me and, when he wasn’t trying to eat my slippers, Finchley (baby Basset Hound) was curled up across my lap.

And then there was this hamper waiting for me in my old room. Spolit.

Re: your eton mess, YUM! We don’t get berries here so I make it with passion fruit pulp and toasted coconut, tastes fab, but not the same 🙁

Have a wonderful trip (and don’t forget the Basset shots)

Hi Sasha – Hope you enjoy your time in Monmouth County, I grew up two towns over from Colt’s Neck. In one of your earlier posts, I could tell some of the photos came from Holmdel Park (I recognized the background as The Bowl from high school cross country races) – I haven’t been in years, so if you get the chance, and if the trees are in color, please do post some pics for us!

@Tracy: I went today, but no colour yet…I have a week to go tho! LLGxx

Dogs and sweeties – perfect! Are those Ferrero Rocher I see in that hamper? Are Starburst the new Opal Fruits? Anything peanut butter is good too, especially the filled KitKat ones which you can’t find here anymore.

Reply

@Catherine: Yes Starbursts = Opal Fruits! And there *were* lots of Rocher – all gone now…! LLGxx
