Last week I was a judge, along with Siobhan Mallen, Associate Fashion Director of British Grazia for the ASOS Fashion Finder Competition. Entrants had to put together a look – or several if they wished, matching to one of the key fashion themes for AW11. From Navajo to Vintage, there was clearly a section that someone could relate to. There were well over a thousand entries, but fortunately they had been whittled down to seventy for the final.

It took a while, as each look was flashed up on the big screen in front of us, but in the end we were all unanimous in our decision. In fact we pretty much agreed all the way through. It would seem that good style will always out. Our worthy winner was from Australia, which we didn’t know at the time, but which I find particularly pleasing, given how many amazing Australian readers I have.

Do go take a look at all finalists. The link is here.

I like all three of the top looks and have no idea how you arrived an unanimity. Number three probably isn’t the easiest to wear, but it certainly is eye-catching and expressive of something–freedom of stripes and Mongolian lamb, maybe?
