LLG shops: Favourite Florists: London’s Scarlet & Violet.

I got back from the shoot yesterday evening to find a little note slipped into my door frame. It directed me to my cellar, and there I found a large brown paper carrier bag containing the most ravishing flowers, as a thank you from a company for a piece I’d run recently on LLG.

Being sent flowers is right up there on my most favourite list and when they are flowers from London’s Scarlet & Violet my cup brimmeth over.

This particular arrangement included highly scented Bridal Crown narcissi, white hydrangeas, guelder roses, Bells of Ireland, and eucalyptus, along with some others I have yet identify…

I particularly love how they came in a very large jam jar, with pretty ribbon around the neck. (I’ve found that in the US, flower deliveries nearly always come in vases, but in the UK it’s the exception, rather than the rule.)

And in situ in my bedroom on my new chest of drawers:

My birthday is coming up so I shall drop a few heavy hints to the Engishman. It’s a while (12 monhts!) since I’ve had a flower delivery. How wondeful to have one for thanks mid-term as it were! xx

@Helena: I do think they are one of the loveliest florists in London (Kensal, so not too far from us.) LLGxx

Those pictures on your drawers look really interesting, will you be doing a feature on them soon too? x

Love the green & white…so fresh! What a great gesture from the company and a great treat to discover on your return home.
