Philosophy Amazing Grace

Hero Beauty Product: Philosophy’s Amazing Grace

July 26, 2010 · 6 comments

I’ve written before how I’m not a fan of fragranced  shampoos: I put much thought into the scent I wear, and I don’t want other smells interfering with it. But I had to take it all back when I discovered Frederic Fekkai’s Femme Sensuelle, and again just last month when I helped myself to my mother’s bottle of Amazing Grace Perfumed Shampoo, Bath & Shower Gel which was lurking in her shower.

Ever since I started living in America my mother has requested that I bring her back these giant, super-heavy bottles of the pink potion every time I travel to London. I just didn’t get why, with so many great dedicated hair product companies out there, she needed some pink girly shampoo — which wasn’t even a dedicated shampoo, but a shower gel too.

And then I tried it — and everything became clear. My hair was super shiny & super soft, without that cloying artificially silky silicone feel you get with cheap shampoo. I had swing. I had bounce. I had sheen. I was converted.

Amazing Grace Perfumed Shampoo, Bath & Shower Gel £20.99 in the UK here and $16.00 in the US here

Sounds wonderful! If its anything like the fragrance from their Baby Grace body lotion that a thoughtful friend bought me as a post baby gift, I need to get some. x

Hmmm, I might try this, though I have been loyal to FF shampoos for two yrs now. I like Philosophy products in general, which the exception of “Hope in a Jar” face cream, which is branded as the greatest cream ever made (plastic surgeons even recommend it, so it is said), but smells absolutely disgusting. I repeat: DISGUSTING.

I LOVE Amazing Grace! I have the perfume, purchased for me by my husband and it’s such a lovely scent! I’m also a fan of Philosophy’s face washes, Purity I think they’re called. I always have them on hand!

Thanks for this post. Most people I know actually only use the Philosophy 3 in 1 products as bath or shower gel. A few years ago I tried to use one of the other scents on my hair and it really dried it out. I wonder if the formula has changed, or whether it is just my hair (fine and thick) that was the problem. I do like this scent though, I so i may have to revisit…
