Having eaten four Lean Cuisine micro-meals this week (all I can say, is don’t), I’m pining for a kitchen that has more than just a microwave, and dreaming of meals past. Here are some of the recipes I’ve posted on LLG in the last six months.

Recipe: Cauliflower purée

Fried potatoes with scallions/spring onions & Indian spices

Recipe: Caramelised apple topping & cinnamon cake

Recipe: Chickpea, avocado, red onion, halloumi salad

Recipe: Superbowl avocado & bean layer dip

Recipe: Grilled Portobello Mushroom sandwich

Recipe: Apple & hazelnut cake with hazelnut streusel topping

French toast or eggy bread for winter refuelling

Elizabeth David & Jane Grigson’s Mushroom soup à la Bresse

Recipe: The Original Superfood Salad from the Leon cookbook

(Unless specifically credited to another cookery author, all recipes published on LLG are developed by me.) All my recipes, restaurant reviews and general food & drink-related posts are collected under the LLG Food tab at the top of the page.

Sitting here with lots of good food but couldn’t think what I wanted. Well, I have chickpeas, red onion, halloumi, & avocado…so, that’s what it’ll be. Stay cool. Hot here (DC), too.

Oh I’m up for the cinnamon and apple cake — two of my favourite tastes combined in my very most favourite thing — cake ;-)

I was wondering about the Cauliflower purée.….about windage in the southern hemisphere, if you catch my drift.…?

I only have a microwave in my current place (it’s a short term let in the city) and I agree– it’s bad! I don’t want anymore ready meals– they are not me– and I am done with soup– something I can normally eat for weeks on end

All I want is an oven!!
