As I walked into Mayfair from a breakfast meeting at the Wolseley, a slightly circuitous route took me down Bruton Place and past the plate glass windows of Rupert Sanderson’s eponymous store. I could no more carry on walking than I could if the storefront had been that of Ladurée.
I’ve always loved Rupert’s shoes, and it’s been interesting to watch his collections evolve over the years from a very simple & ladylike aesthetic, to something sexier, more complicated, whilst still retaining his trademark soignee approach.
His new store has just opened in the Palais Royal in Paris, and the latest is due to open next week on 25 March in Hong Kong.
(mytheresa has some rather lovely Rupert Sanderson shoes on sale here )

these are lovely shoes… i could totally see myself wearing a pair of them!
Your tweet about shoe porn was spot on. These are exquisite. I love the darkness of the first shoe. I’d love to wear with one of the Tom Binns for Disney Couture Alice in Wonderland big statement necklaces. Amazing stuff. X (added by Mobile using Mippin)
Love the snake! Only wish there was a slight platform to make them a little more comfy.
Cheers!
