Caught the last hour. I loved Sandra Bullock's lips and her acceptance speech. I thought Peter Sarsgaard's speech for Carey Mulligan's nomination was awful: slimey, patronizing, and self-referential. (Also, my friend hung out with him for an evening once and said that he was a smug, arrogant a-hole.) Did anyone notice Alec Baldwin slapping Kathryn Bigelow on the ass at the end? It was really funny. It looked so boyish and silly, it was hard to take offense! This was the first time I ever watched the Oscars. Caught the last hour.
