Burberry Prorsum without a single hesitation. With all the muted color chocies and simple pieces that still stand out and have that “Burberry aura” to them, they’re to die for.
I absolutely love, love, LOVE the entire MULBERRY collection — I don’t think there is a single piece I wouldn’t want to wear… Well, apart from that double denim outfit perhaps! It is a brilliant collection and the retro design of the different pieces reminds me of a time, when grace and elegance were the key to beauty, and clothes were not designed with the purpose of exposing as much skin as possible, but with the aim of making every woman look her absolute best. This Mulberry collection achieves all this while being exciting and fun at the same time.
Hence, Kudos to the designers over at Mulberry — AMAZING job!!
Ashish. For the color palette & the layering. Specifically the Autumn/Winter 2010 collection.
Christopher Kane — simply put he gave beautiful florals a dark and sexy edge, for those like me who struggle to accept looking girly his mixture of sheer fabrics and leather with beautiful embroidery is a god-send
Hussein Chalayan…I’m not sure if this is allowed because technically Chalayan was part of a LFW Presentation and not a catwalk…translating from awe-inspiring catwalks to gobstopping exhibitions (I went to the Chalayan exhibit at the Design Museum) it’s the future of fashion. By future I mean more like a 100 years rather than a few seasons away. One day we’ll all wear transformational pieces…or later generations will. If I’m reincarnated into this time however I don’t fancy wearing a table. Not massively practical.
I loved Fashion for Relief in aid of Haiti as I think it was great for the fashion industry. With celebrities from Ronnie Corbett to Kate Moss modelling, it not only shows that everyone can help make a difference but demonstrates that any sized person can walk down the runway. I went to this show at LFW last week as a youth reporter for DFID (see website) and I sat 3 rows back from the front where I had an amazing view of the fabulous designs of Alexander McQueen’s blue mini dresses worn my Naomi Campbell, Kate Moss and Pixie Geldof. I am sure that Lee McQueen would like to have known that the last piece he created was sold in a very good cause.
When the show ended I waited with my colleague trying to get an interview with Sarah Brown and saw a goodie bag had been left on the front row. I was going to pick it up but my conscience got the better of me, so I would love the chance to win this one!
I was going to ponder on a suitably witty and charming response that might catch your eye —
And then i skimmed through some of the comments that have already posted — until i came to one.
My vote goes to Siena Somers. She has a conscience — she’s working for good — she deserves a treat!

I’m going to have to go with Erdem because his prints were like walking paintings. I love the idea of fashion as art (plus he’s recognized just by his first name and that is amazing in itself!)
Mulberry — would make anyone look good
After recent concerns and bad light in the press, I am happy to say I think Luella was one of the best shows at London Fashion Week. What was once girly and not quite fully formed, is now grown-up and gorgeous. Yet it hasn’t left its former femininity! Bartly created clothes pretty, matchless and most importantly wearable!
Please enter me!
My vote is for Mulberry, because of the colors I think
My favourite show was the Iris Van Herpen one. It left a great impression, with volumes being lightened through their construction of straps.
It,s my dream to win those goodies i wish i wish i wish.…..
For me hands down it has to be Burberry Prorsum I just loved everything
but alas i have Champagne taste and lemonade money!
But in my dreams I buy the whole collection and maybe in real life i will
own those treasures.…..
Love LLG favorite part of my day xx
I loved Kinder Aggugini! His Spring 2010 collection has gorgeous dresses in these flowy fabrics. Perfectly feminine.
Sass and Bide are innovative, individual and inspiring. Their designs are strong and sexy, and so wearable. A breath of fresh air.….
I’m going to have to go with Jonathan Saunders. I just loved the colors and their combinations so much
Mark Fast. He’s a quirky and quiet Canadian that has taken to London fashion like a duck to water. I love what he does with knits — something that never really interested me until now.
I loved Julien Macdonald’s lacey dresses.
WIthout a shadow of doubt, it has to be Christopher Kane!
From the moment he stepped out of Central St Martins ‚he caught my eye, with his amazing use of cashmere, leather and embellishment.
Each collection has intised me more, intriguing me further and I find myself flicking through the monthlys, every fashion week, in order to hunt down catwalk snaps.
I also love how he has diversified and made girls like me ( being 17; a student on a budget) able to buy into the ‘Kane effect’ , through his Tosphop collection. Meaning before long, animal kingdom galore started gracing my wardrobe…
and all of this is why Christopher Kane is my favourite designer showing at fashion week this season !

Sass & Bide by far!! Both their AW10 & SS10 create a feminine look with a rock chic edge. They have an outfit to suit every occasion, with the long floor length dresses and gold detail, fun but flirty… makes you want to buy the whole collection!
For me the best show was Osman. The night before I was listening to Ellie Goulding’s Starry Eyed and thinking this is perfect for a show, et voila, Osman’s DJ chose Starry Eyed as one of the songs. I loved the unconventional opening of four models coming down the catwalk. The collection itself was a gorgeous AW collection where so many look like spring summer. The palette were navys, blues, greys, bieges, with an infusion of bright pink. The accessories — a large envelope clutch brightened up the AW collection and I fell in love. Somewhat similar to the sold out Mulberry for Apple hot pink vinyl MacBook case, I could see my MacBook Pro, make up, notebook and so much more fitting in it. The flying saucer hats were bold yet demure. And there was something spot on about the shades for me, it just felt so AW… The evening wear was stunning. The crystals on the pockets and all over the jacket were divine, however it was the navy gown with the crystals on the cuff of one arm that stole my heart. I couldn’t see them from my seat but managed to get a look at the shoes before they were packed away — thick wedges covered in crystals, i don’t know if I’d wear them or put them up on display.… I loved that Osman was dressed with pink leg warmer-ish socks over his boots and looked completely at one with his collection.
A cheeky side note, to my complete dismay, my goodie bags were stolen at Osman’s after party, I am happy that someone inherited the goodies, but inside was my Smython ‘j’adore’ notebook that I treated myself too in duty free — NYFW bound — it had ALLL my notes during ny & lfw and is a huge huge loss.… so these goody bags would super cheer me up.… or the miracle of someone returning my notebook… Love the blog, loved the mbfw tweeting xxx
I loved Mulberry, the colours, the leopard print and the very cute French Bulldog made it for me!
First time poster, and I hope it’s a lucky one
LOVE that you are giving us the chance to win a piece of LFW! Wonderful!
I’ve especially loved all your posts//photos/tweets from the shows. It was great to get real time updates and was such a fab insight into the week. It made it so much more accessible, especially for those like me, whose life and work is about as far removed from the fashion industry as it gets.
My favourite collection, hands down, has to be Mulberry. I’m utterly in love with Mulberry at the best of times, but their pieces are so wearable and I loved the little extra touches to their shows, like the dogs! British cool at its best!
P.S. I missed your reveal in Grazia, but am delighted that I can now put a name to the blog that I’ve been obsessed with for the past 6 months!
xx
Charles Anastase! I just loved this collection-I would wear anything from it! I mean, the combinations of colors, patterns, interesting shapes, textures…and all of a sudden I need to find a pair of salmon pink tights!
My favourite designer showing at LFW A/W10 was definitely Bora Asku; his designs are always innovative, beautifully constructed and designed for women first and foremost. The architectural yet voluminous structure of his dresses, with the amazing applied decoration was balanced by the slim leg silhouette, and the distressed foiled fabrics were so delicately designed to compliment the softer tailored jackets and slouchy harem-shaped trousers. The emphasis was on the hips, which always pleases me, as I’m a lady with an hourglass figure, so it was great to see the models rocking the look! The colour palette was delicious, all ice cream shades and dove greys, with black highlights which really made them pop. I especially loved the sheer panelled leggings, tapping into the trend for sheer panels this season without looking dated. Bora definitely does his own thing yet seems to always capture the zeitgeist, a talent which only the best designers can ever hope to achieve.
I’m going to go with Christophe Kane — any collection apparently inspired by Priscilla Pressley and vatican robes has to be worth a look. He really does his own thing and he is so inventive that this collection was startlingly different from his SS10. The construction was fabulous, the styling sophisticated and mark my words we will all be wearing embroidered leather in Autumn!
A tough call as there are so many amazing designers to choose from, but I think that Hardy Amies tips the balance…a little bit of old school charm is wonderful.
What a great giveaway — good luck everyone X
My favourite has to be Peter Pilotto without a doubt. The colours and draping are divine. Initially the dresses look simple but yet the detail and draped textures are so gorgeous but yet relaxed and dreamy. I can’t wait til the day i can afford a dress like these, so it has to be my favourite designer collection from LFW.
x
Perhaps a little dull, but Burberry for sure! I’ve been rather obsessed with large warm jackets lately, and all the ones at Burberry, whether trench like or military or fur all look so insanely warm!
There are so many wonderful ones this season. If I had to pick it would be Burberry Prorsum. I love their new coats and beautiful collars. I would take one of each!
I would have to say Erdem — for bringing beautiful, wearable prints back to the forefront — not just to the fashion front! Fashion in its most beautiful, pure yet ultimately wearable guise!
I love the Mulberry collection– so gorgeous and the colours were divine x
My favourite was Mulberry. I have loved their bags for years now but the true revelation were the shoes! Ab fab!
I think my favourite this season is Louise Goldin — Mainly as it reminded me of the wheelies from Wizard of Oz meets Roland Mouret. A combination I never would have thought of
House of Holland.
I’ve always loved Caroline Charles, they’re clothes for grown-ups.
Hello what a FABULOUS prize! I would have loved to catch the mark fast show, because I love so many of his past collections. I am a big fan of his cobweb stuff. I would have also liked to go to the Pam Hogg show.
x
On the basis that I’m too short and, most probably too fat, to wear any of the catwalk collections, I think I’d choose Matthew Williamson as you could choose something made from a fabulous fabric in a wonderful colour then have it as a beautiful object to be cherished and displayed.
Can’t believe your dog didn’t scoff those cupcakes; while I was at work today, our chocolate lab took a tupperware container off the countertop, chewed through it and ate 8 chocolate brownies as well as half a French stick.…..
Burberry Prorsum cause it was the only one I got to see thanks to their live online feed.
Ah, when does this giveaway end…?
Of course, my choice would most definitely be Vivienne Westwood. As a person who lives à la Lolita, she’s one of my idols~ Her collections are perpetually a source of inspiration for Lolitas around the world, and I’ll continue to look to her for new looks to imitate and desire.
Charles Anastase. No question.
Hello everybody
The giveaway is still on-going — I close entries on Friday
LLGxx
This may not be the answer your looking for but my favourite designer was the set designers. Not enough credit to the guys that create the wonderful world in which the clothes float through!xx (added by Mobile using Mippin)
Julien macdonalds super chunky knits. Wearable, accesible, timeless. Xx (added by Mobile using Mippin)
I want to gibe a shout out to the over looked set designers. The scenes/sets and themeing give the clothes the magical feel and platform to float through. So my vote goes to the set designers. Lovley new site LLG xx (added by Mobile using Mippin)
Ann-Sofie Back. I like her asymmetric designs that have lots of movement.
Burberry Prorsum !!!
im going to london soon.. Cant wait.
I liked Mulberry.from the pictures that i have seen i found the clothes modern yet traditional, and luxurious yet effortless.
I liked Sykes the best. Why? It is more my flavour, colour palette and the designs are not too overworked, easy to wear.
I’m rooting for the new girl on this one — Holly Fulton. Her designs are fresh and beautiful, geometric without being weighed down by an overabundance of patterning. Her SS10 duck-egg blue sky scraper dress (http://londonfashionweek.com/designers_catwalk.aspx?designerid=1191&seasonid=18#pic1) is simple, chic and flattering — a dress that any woman could pull off (very important to me — there’s no point admiring a dress that only looks good on the hanger/model!). Her overall stories bring to mind 60’s mini dresses, Pucci prints and 80’s urban tribal themes, coalesced by a thoroughly modern, metropolitan feel. They’re structured with a clean cut that seems to breathe summer in Manhattan — not a bad start for the Edinburgh-born RCA graduate. And for those for whom the dresses themselves are slightly out of reach, her accessories collection (for which she won the Swarovski Emerging Talent Award for Accessories at the British Fashion Awards in 09) has a lower price point but perfectly encapsulates her ethos.
