Wow. What a week so far. Firstly, I want to say thank you for the truly astounding support I’ve had from my readers, both old and new. Being part of the online community is very, very important to me, & I was terrified about the piece coming out in Grazia, having been anonymous for so long. Being interviewed is always a strange experience for a writer, but Hattie Brett did a great job of translating my blather. (I know some of you have asked me to post the story on here, and I will once the issue is off newsstand next week.)
I promise that nothing will change here on LLG. My voice will remain the same, and I will still be telling it like I see it. No compromises here.
Still, shiny new sites cost money, so I am going to be undertaking some interesting projects for LLG. (But only ones that fit with the ethos of my brand. No breakfast cereal promotions here). For my first assignment since I divulged my identity, I’m off to London Fashion Week to run LFW sponsor Mercedes Benz’s Twitter feed.
I’m very excited to be tweeting from the shows, parties & presentations, giving all the up-to-date LFW news & views, starting off at Naomi Campbell’s Fashion for Haiti benefit tonight at Somerset House. You can sign up at www.twitter.com/MercedesLFW
The utterly amazing collaged image of me above is by blogger Random Fashion Coolness. Click here to read her very interesting piece on identity and blogging. (I do like the cheeky grin she has given me.)

I have just been introduced to your site by other bloggers and love it already. Will pick up Grazia too. I was wondering whether you’d consider doing a quesion and answer forum with readers as I’ve seen on other blogs lately? I’ve tons of stuff I’d love to ask!
I write anonymously on my blog too so look forward to reading the article on identity above too!

Dear LLG,
was very excited to see your face and excited about your plans. Your hair looks wonderful. Well Done. Don’t go changing. How’s the whippet? x
Thank you so much for linking to me. Glad you like the image. I’m just worried in person, it’ll be hard NOT to call you LLG… Glad the blogosphere has provided you with a cushy bubble of support. R x
Dear LLG, this is, indeed a beautiful collage. Congratulations– enjoy this time– it must be such a head-rush sort of feeling. Epic. Epic. x shayma
Love the new site, and the article in Grazia. I nearly dropped my jaw on the pavement when I saw it. Looking forward to your reports.
Helena xx
Hey LLG — love the new site. I think your link up on the right for your rss feed is broken? When I click on the link, I get a 404 error. Just wanted to let you know!
I’m so glad you’ve come out! Good to see your face at last, I knew you’d be beautiful. I was going to ask Henry H who you were as I was curious but it’s all out now. Great to see you in Grazia. Love the new site. I’ve been trying to move mine to WordPress for a while. Unfortunately I think my banner offended someone so I’ve had a content warning on my blog since the beginning of Jan and I no longer come up on Google searches. See you at LFW maybe. Christina xx
BRAND? No! Really?
I know we all have to earn a crust, but…BRAND?
The very word is like a knife through my heart.…
Yes! Brand! I don’t publish this blog under my own name so I’d say that Liberty London Girl WAS a brand. I adore blogging, but I am not a huge fan of this misconception that blogging should be some kind of pro bono, anti-commercial activity. I’m just calling it like it is.
I have had two choices: move my blog onto a more professional footing, or basically give it up. Writing, maintaining and responding to this blog now takes up about 85% of my professional time. And I love it. But to continue it needs to start paying for itself. Which is why I am taking the odd ad (as opposed to plastering LLG with cereal stuff), and working on commercial projects associated with the LLG name. And that, I believe, turns LLG into a brand, whether I like it or not.
Hi Sasha (good name!)
I’m recently opened a formspring acct at libertylondongirl but I haven’t publicised it yet as I don’t have time to answer the questions.
From time to time I do answer reader questions as posts, so if there is anything you’d like to ask, do email me or leave it in the comments!

Helena darling, I hope you didn’t crack your mandible! LLGxx

Karen: Thnks for the heads up! LLGxx
Shayma: kisses to you darling LLGxx
ahhhhh, there you are
I just read about you revealing your identity at Mademoiselle Robot’s blog and decided to check your url.
I’d been wondering for a few days why I didn’t receive any LLG posts in in my Google Reader. Guess I need to resubscribe to get the new posts. Your new site looks great and I look forward to reading the Grazia interview. Mette
Yieks! I’ll never again go on a holiday that lasts longer than two days. LLG is not anonymous anymore??? Time to get back home and fetch my Grazia from the letterbox. xx MM
