Liberty Print Bias Bindings Tana Lawn

This is somewhat of a special interest post, but for those of us with a crafty bent, who like sewing things, the news that wonderful Clothkits are now producing Liberty Print Bias Bindings in Tana Lawn is fabulous news. (Bias binding is normally very hard to find in anything other than basic colours and crispy cotton.)

It would make a wonderful trim for jackets and, of course, is perfect for cushion making or, as Clothkits suggest, for decorations or bunting too.

It’s available by the metre and in seven colourways, listed in order that they are stacked from top to bottom: Dunclare, Dunclare, Caesar, Jenny’s, Theberton, Janet’s Rose, Miles Evans.

To find out more about Clothkits, read my post from earlier this year.

I love those. Unfortunately, I am not a crafty person. Maybe I can just order them and hope for the craftiness to arrive, once the binding has arrived?

I love crafts (just did a homemade chalkboard, erasable half wine bottles (for the remnants of the good plonk that doesn’t get finished on any given night), stenciled bathroom signs… the list goes on. Is it wrong that I have it all laid out in a nice spreadsheet as well under ‘home projects’ to keep it organised?!

Thanks for this… I am so going to buy some. I think I need to work a ‘craft’ allowance into the monthly budget.

xx

DRG: You use bias binding for edging things like this:

or for the piping around cushions etc: in that case a thin cord is placed inside the binding before being sewn in place. Because ir is cut on the bias, it curves beautifully. LLGxx
